Nearly everything is going green and for good reason. Whether you embrace the idea of helping out the environment, or want to consciously change the way we live to try  to preserve the planet for generations to come, or maybe just recycle sometimes (you know, if it’s convenient) everyone can agree that green machines tend to be on budget, both in running efficiency and other cost reductions in reducing pollutants. Nowhere is this movement felt more than in cleaning supplies where hazardous chemicals have, over time, caused serious damage to fields and waterways. Slowly, the cleaning industry has been getting more eco-friendly, and the E Ride 30 is a Minuteman scrubber that takes another step in the right direction. Built to embrace that idea of green cleaning while still maintaining the same simple quality that marks nearly all other Minuteman products, this Minuteman scrubber would be a good investment for nearly any employer.

In most ways the E Ride 30 is a pretty standard 30 inch    rider scrubber that has a 30 gallon solution and recovery tank, connecting to a vacuum that can handle nearly 70 cubic feet per minute of suction with 69 inches of static water lift. This is all combined with normal Minuteman parts that make this Minuteman scrubber identical to nearly every other scrubber on the market. However, the green section is where the specialty comes in, and this is in two parts.

Power reduction is one of the keys to being green, and for this machine that means special Minuteman parts which enable it to use less power while still cleaning about 50,000 square feet an hour. Most of this comes from the complicated battery system which ends up doubling the scrubber’s weight (though it doesn’t stop it from having a pretty tight 66.5 inch turning radius). However, the main green element of the Minuteman parts is a new parabolic squeegee vacuum that pulls up the water “completely,” which “allow[s] for immediate foot traffic.” While in reality the suction is not perfect, it is much better than normal, and quick pedestrian use is not out of the question.
